Low energy lamps such as these use approximately one fifth of the energy used by a standard GLS tungsten filament light bulb to produce the same amount of light. This means that the consumer pays less for electricity to light their home or workplace, and that less electricity has to be generated thereby reducing the harmful polluting effects of electricity generation on the environment.

18W CFL low energy lamps produce the equivalent amount of light (in lumens) as 100W standard GLS light bulbs. A 13W CFL low energy lamp is also avaiable from Ethical Products Direct.
Please Note when ordering remember to select the correct wattage to replace your GLS light bulbs. Also remeber that the plug-in adaptor is required to use these lamps in 3 pin BC J-slot fittings.
